Position: Creative Strategist
Salary Description: $67,000 – $75,000 yearly

Deaf Organizations Fund (DOF), a nonprofit subsidiary of Communication Service for the Deaf (CSD), strives to uplift the incredible, essential work of deaf nonprofit organizations and programs nationwide. DOF’s Creative Strategist position is dedicated to steering our marketing and communications efforts. In this pivotal role, the Creative Strategist will ensure DOF’s mission, values, and impact are well-understood by our target audiences, including donors, funders, nonprofit organizations, and community members. The Creative Strategist will oversee campaign development and execution; digital and print communication strategies; website, social media, and email engagement; and marketing data analysis. The ideal candidate will excel in managing multiple projects, building stakeholder relationships, and keeping abreast of industry trends.
- Leads marketing initiatives by strategically planning and executing creative campaigns that clearly communicate DOF’s impact as well as the areas in which donor and stakeholder support is needed
- Develops, implements, and manages multiple project timelines, deliverables, and multi-channel content deployments while establishing and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Stays current with nonprofit marketing trends and tools, analyzes the marketing efforts of similar organizations and funders, and interprets audience behavior to inform future creative strategies
- Utilizes campaign data to identify areas of improvement and optimize upcoming efforts
- Develops compelling storytelling and engagement strategies that resonate with target audiences
- Ensures brand consistency and adheres to established accessibility guidelines
- Manages independent contractors as needed to produce marketing deliverables, liaises with cross-functional teams
- Oversees communications and design platforms, including DOF’s website, email, Google Analytics, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Meta, LinkedIn, and MailerLite
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, a qualified candidate will ideally possess the following competencies:
- Skills and knowledge in the development and execution of marketing programs and activities
- Experience with advertising, brand management, and creative communications
- Technical skills to include automation and collection and assessment of metrics
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills with ardent attention to detail
- Proven ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Creative problem-solving skills and the capacity to think strategically about outreach opportunities, partnerships, and innovations
- Expertise with Microsoft Office products and ease in utilizing other design and communications platforms, including WordPress, Slack, Google Analytics, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Meta, LinkedIn, and MailerLite
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field from an accredited college or university; or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent professional experience
- Extensive experience coordinating and executing marketing and communications efforts with a focus on relaying impact to a variety of audiences
- Ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language and written English (required)
